DMR-BS850 review
Jul 2, 2009 blu-ray recorder
Yesterday I mentioned about the new Panasonic Blu Ray recorder the DMR-BS750, well today I thought I would mention the bigger brother, the DMR-BS850.
The first thing you notice about the DMR-BS850 is the design, Panasonic have got this spot on and it really is a design triumph.
The twin Freesat+ tuners give you plenty of flexibility, too. You can record two programmes at once, pause and rewind live TV and series record. The BS850 also has a eight-day EPG which is very useful as it prompts you when an SD programme is available to record in HD and auto-updates to incorporate changes to the schedule.
The major difference with the DMR-BS850 is the size of the Hard Disk with a whooping 500GB hard disk.
Five recording modes allow you to squeeze even more room out of the already roomy 500GB hard disk; the lowest setting offers 240 hours, and you’ll get 77 hours in the highest-quality mode.
