TX-P42G15 – Latest Panasonic Plasma TV review
Panasonic have just released the latest of their plasma screen televisions for 2009 and with the TX-P42G15 Panasonic have left 2009 on a high note.
The look of the TX-P42G15 is stunning and very flat, as with all the new Viera television sets, the TX-P42G15 also includes the new Freesat HD built-in, so if you already have a satellite dish then you can view HD almost straight from the box.
The Panasonic TX-P42G15 runs the new NeoPDP, which promises to be thinner, more energy-efficient, and are capable of delivering deeper blacks and higher motion resolution and to a large part Panasonic delivers on almost every level with great results.
Full-HD NeoPDP Model with freesat built-in, Superb Moving Picture Quality and Advanced Networking Capabilities. “freesat” is a digital satellite service that offers free HD (High-definition) TV programmes. With the G15 series, you can enjoy sharp pictures, vivid colours, multi-channel sound, and various services with the interactive contents.
600 Hz technology lets you view superb full-HD motion and still images with 1,080 lines of resolution. For even greater clarity with motion images, Panasonic uses its own unique image-analysis technology. This technology converts the motion in each scene into data, then optimises the sub-field to display fast-action scenes in full-HD resolution. And each frame is practically displayed for a shorter length of time than in previous systems, to reduce aftereffects.
VIERA incorporate an improved panel production process and the new Real Black Drive system. A pre-discharge control system, the Real Black Drive system combines with NeoPDP technology to achieve next-generation black reproduction. When you’re watching movies, VIERA renders images just the way the director intended, even in scenes where it’s difficult to achieve a proper balance of light and dark.
